1. The Unsung Hero Award (Individual)

This award is to recognise the achievements of a volunteer registered with the Trust who isn’t usually eligible for recognition in the way that staff are.

Who is a volunteer?

  • A volunteer is someone who is not paid for their time

When you nominate a volunteer please:

  • Describe level of contribution with details of hours given over what period
  • Describe the tasks that this volunteer has taken on
  • A quote from you as the proposer as to why you believe this volunteer should be recognised
  • A quote from an individual  (someone other than you) who has benefited from this volunteer’s work stating what difference this volunteer’s work has made to them
