New Government Guidelines on CPA

The Care Programme Approach (known as CPA) is used by mental health services to assess people’s health and social care needs and to plan their care and treatment. The Government has recently advised us that changes need to be made to CPA to simplify the system and to focus on service users and their carers rather than on the paperwork. The trust has set up a task group involving service users and carers to start work on making changes to our paperwork and systems.
