How Clean Are Your Hands?
21/07/2008
Hygiene is vital and 2gether Foundation Trust is launching the cleanyourhands campaign across all its facilities on the 22nd July 2008.
The initiative, set up by the National Patience Safety Agency (NPSA), has subsequently been adopted by all NHS acute trusts in England and Wales. It is now being rolled out across all NHS organisations across the country, including mental health trusts.
2gether has appointed clearnyourhands Champions who will be returning to clinical areas to promote effective hand washing.
Shaun Clee, Chief Executive of 2gether, comments:
“We are appointing Champions to ensure that all our staff are aware of clearnyourhands, as the campaign is designed to educate and inform. We know one of the most effective ways of combating the spread of infection is hand washing and the key role that hand hygiene plays in tackling healthcare associated infections.”
