Two New Non-Executive Directors Appointed

Two New Non-Executive Directors for Gloucestershire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust

I am very pleased to inform you that Dermot McMeekin and Carolyn Elwes have been appointed as Gloucestershire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust’s newest non-executive directors. These appointments now bring the number of non-executive directors to its full complement.

Dermot McMeekin has worked at a board level in several international strategy consultancy firms and has served as non-executive director for a number of companies throughout his career. Dermot is a Governor and Member of the Finance Committee for Westonbirt School in Tetbury. Dermot gained an MBA from Harvard Business School

Carolyn Elwes has held senior management positions within St John’s Ambulance and is Chair of Gloucestershire St John’s Ambulance she also held the position  of Chair of Gloucestershire Ambulance  Sevice. In addition Carolyn has also held non executive positions within the public sector. 

Trust Chief Executive, Shaun Clee said “Dermot and Carolyn bring a broad range of business, financial and commercial skills to the Trust and we are all looking forward to working with them. I am sure they will both be assets to the Trust”.

All Non-Executive Directors appointments are made on merit and political activity plays no part in the selection process. However in accordance with the Nolan recommendations, any declared political activity by appointees should be made public. Both Dermot McMeekin and Carolyn Elwes have no political activity to declare.
